I
have always had an interest in physical fitness. Nowadays I am
an avid runner and cyclist. I used to do weight training.
At the age of 21 I severely injured my lower back in the gym.
I had a ruptured disc, for which I had surgery.
After surgery, I visited a few chiropractors and learned that if I had seen a chiropractor sooner, I would almost certainly have made a more successful recovery, entirely without surgery. I decided to study Chiropractic to help others avoid that kind of experience.
Today's chiropractor receives ongoing training and education on new skills and techniques, and to maintain certification. I am especially impressed with the results of low-light laser therapy in promoting healing in deep tissue damage, and I have incorporated Active Release Techniques (ART) in treating other soft tissue problems. Recently, my patients and I have had great success with Sole Supports®, a big "step forward" in orthotics design.
